How do I register?
We only accept online registrations through Sports Connect. Please click on the Register Now link beside any of the camp descriptions and follow the instructions to create your account and register. If you completed registration successfully, you will receive a confirmation email. You do not need to bring your confirmation email to the first day - this is for your records only. There is 1 payment option available for day camps: credit /debit card. You will make this payment on Sports Connect (our registration site) when you register.
I didn’t receive a confirmation email, am I registered?
Your registration may not have gone through. To inquire whether you are successfully registered, please email [email protected].
Are there player appearances?
Only Portland-area camps are subject to a possible visit from a Timbers or Thorns player. Due to team travel and training/game schedules, player appearances are not guaranteed.
How are the PTFC Camps structured?
Full-day camps typically run 9am-2pm, with a lunch break at noon. Our staff will divide campers into groups based on age/grade level. Each coach will focus on a different skill for the duration of camp using a variety of fun and challenging activities. Throughout the day, each age group will rotate to a different coach every 25-30 minutes.
What do I need to bring to camp?
For each day of camp, you will need to bring the following:
1. Weather appropriate/athletic clothing (rain jacket, hat/gloves, extra dry clothes in case of heavy rain, etc.)
2. Soccer ball
3. Shin-guards and appropriate shoes (athletic/indoor shoes for indoor camps & cleats for outdoor camps)
4. A filled water bottle (maybe even 2)
5. A snack and a lunch
6. Lots of energy!
Do I need to pack a snack/lunch?
Yes. Please pack a sack lunch every day for camp. Lunch is 12pm-1pm and supervised by Timbers camp staff. For half-day camps, please pack a light snack. Campers will have a short 10-15 minute snack break half-way through the morning session.
What is the waitlist policy?
Once we have reached capacity for a particular camp, Customers may join the waitlist to be notified if spaces become available for such camp at a later date. If space becomes available more than five days prior to the start of the camp, we will notify Customers via email in order of their position on the waitlist. Customers will be given 48 hours to reply and claim their spot. If Customer does not accept their spot within such 48-hour period, we will move on to the next waitlisted Customer. If space becomes available within five days of the start of the camp, we will notify all Customers on the waitlist at the same time, and camp registration will be on a first come-first served basis.
What is a Flex Week of camp?
Due to potential playoff games for the Portland Timbers and/or Thorns, 1-2 days of Flex Week camps may be cancelled. These weeks help us work around the professional teams' schedules that can change based on tournament results. There is a possibility that these camps remain full week camps, but if any day(s) are cancelled, Customers may choose one of the below options:
· Join one of our other operating camps for the cancelled day(s); or
· Receive a $25 per day cash refund for the cancelled day(s).
Can I pick my child up for the lunch hour?
Yes, but you will need to check out with the camp director first (with I.D.), and check back in with them when you return. Please notify our staff at the beginning of the day if you plan on doing this.
Are parents allowed to stay at camp to watch?
Yes, parents are permitted to stay and watch camp so long as they follow that specific location's COVID protocols. This includes but is not limited to: maintaining safe social distancing practices, wearing a face mask/covering, and only interacting with your own child - unless able to show proof of full vaccination. Note: Parents/caregivers must still drop off and pick up campers outside the camp entrance per registration protocols.
Do PTFC Camps have a lost-and-found?
Yes. If your item was picked up during the week at camp, the staff will bring it back to camp the next day. If you realize you left an item and camp has concluded for the week, please email [email protected] to inquire about your lost item.
What time is check-in? Do you offer additional hours before or after camp?
Typically, check-in for camp begins a half-hour before the listed start time. We do not offer before or after care at our camps.
What if I want to carpool or have someone other than myself pick my child up from camp?
We will be checking photo ID of everyone who is picking up a camper. There is a section of the registration form to list the first and last names (including parents) of who will be picking up during the week. Whoever is picking up will need to bring a photo ID with them to check the player out every day. If they aren't on the list we will need to make a phone call before the player can leave.
How do I access a camp receipt and tax id #?
To access a camp receipt you can log back into your Stack Sports account, the same account you registered for camp with. Log in, click on “my orders," and that will bring you to your receipt. If you are in need of a tax id #, it is 36-4652297.
